91. Şems Suresi Sam Gerrans The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation

1. By the sun and its morning brightness!
2. And by the moon when it follows it!
3. And by the day when it reveals it!
4. And by the night when it covers it!
5. And by the sky and Him that built it!
6. And by the earth and Him that extended it!
7. And by a soul and Him that fashioned it,
8. And inspired it with its immorality and its prudent fear!
9. He has succeeded who increased it in purity,
10. And he has failed who buried it
11. (Thamūd denied in its transgression
12. When its most wretched was sent forth.
13. The messenger of God said to them: “The she-camel of God — let her drink.”
14. Then they denied him, and hamstrung her; and their Lord destroyed them for their transgression, and He levelled them.)
15. And fears not its final outcome.
